About
Samuel Harriman (b. 1992) is a British artist based in Leicestershire.
His practice investigates what happens when the language of painting is translated into emitted light.
Working primarily with fluorescent light, he explores colour not as pigment applied to a surface, but as a physical phenomenon that occupies architectural space. Drawing on the histories of abstraction and colour theory, he extends questions traditionally associated with painting into three-dimensional space.
He has exhibited in galleries, industrial spaces and public venues across the UK and internationally. In 2025, he presented the solo exhibition 'colour, space, line' at Stone Space Gallery, London.
